The federal government shutdown is affecting 1000’s of vacationers throughout the US, as airports grapple with air visitors controller shortages.
The Federal Aviation Administration has moved to implement a ten% discount in flights at 40 airports throughout the nation.
That started with a 4% discount to operations on Friday. It can enhance to 10% by November 14.
Round 780 flights had been canceled as of 1 p.m. ET on Friday, based on information from Cirium, an aviation analytics agency.
