Uber founder and ex-CEO Travis Kalanick has renamed his newest enterprise as Atoms and stated on Friday that he is increasing past meals and into mining and transportation.

After being forced to resign from Uber in 2017, Kalanick joined joined City Storage Systems as CEO the next 12 months. Metropolis Storage is the guardian of ghost-kitchen operator CloudKitchens, which Kalanick shortly grew to a reported $15 billion valuation by 2022.

Kalanick, who based Uber in 2009, stated on the “TBPN” podcast on Friday that Atoms has been working in stealth for eight years with “1000’s of workers.” And on the brand new Atoms web site, Kalanick wrote near 1,700 phrases laying out his mission.

“Immediately we broaden our bodily world computation portfolio to the Mining and Transport industries and rename the corporate Atoms,” Kalanick wrote.
